Lifespan Respite

The demands of caring for a loved one with special healthcare needs can be overwhelming and can challenge even the strongest among us. Through our Lifespan Respite Program, Marklund offers the gift of time to ensure caregiver health and family stability.

Marklund’s Lifespan Respite Program was created by caregivers for caregivers. Trained respite workers provide quality services for individuals with special healthcare needs across their lifespan.

Home-Based Community Respite Care
Marklund conveniently provides hourly respite care in the homes of families who care for individuals with special healthcare needs. We focus on appropriately caring for the individual, respecting family privacy, and ensuring the compatibility of the family and respite worker.

Training
Training is available to those interested in providing Respite Care as well as for family caregivers. Our program offers Family Centered Caregiver training that is both compassionate and skilled.
Marklund's commitment to respite care includes our membership to the Illinois Respite Coalition.

Marklund’s Lifespan Respite Program has several funding oprtions for families who need assistance.
