Mill Creek Adult Campus

Located in Geneva, IL, Marklund’s 25 acre Mill Creek campus was designed to create an environment of community and support for adults with developmental disabilities.

Each of the six 16-bed homes located on the Mill Creek Campus, is licensed as an Intermediate Care Facility for Developmentally Disabled adults (ICF-DD). We have a Medical Director who oversees all of the medical care and doctors orders for the residents on campus.

Homes feature two hydrotherapy bathtubs, a snoezelen therapy room, a multipurpose/dining room, a full service kitchen, and seven double occupancy rooms and two single rooms equipped with state-of-the-art beds to provide residents with the highest level of comfort.

The ratio of staff to clients in each home is 1:4 and there is one Qualified Mental Retardation Professional per home for case management (ratio is 1:16 staff to client). Staff nurses provide specialized care 24 hours a day.

In addition to therapeutic activities and outings planned to help clients reach their potential, residents also go to the Marklund Hyde Center (located on campus) for the development training program, the hydrotherapy whirlpool and pool, a full-service dental office, a barber shop, an art production room, a kitchen and cafeteria..

Also located on campus for residents to enjoy is the first Miracle League baseball diamond in Illinois, which features a rubberized surface ideal for wheelchair use.

The Marklund administrative offices are also located in the Marklund Hyde Center.
