While much has changed since Marklund’s founding in 1954, the mission of Marklund remains the same; to provide quality, compassionate care for people with disabilities. Marklund’s services encompass the full realm of human needs, including loving medical care, home-like residential facilities, state-of-the-art habilitative therapies, quality educational and day services and exceptional community-based programs.
Marklund’s main campus in Geneva, Illinois, consists of six 16-bed residential homes for adults with severe and profound developmental disabilities, as well as an educational and training center that provides for the intensive medical, social, emotional and physical needs of the residents. The Bloomingdale campus consists of a residential home for medically fragile children with developmental disabilities, as well as a Day School, and Life Skills Training Center for teens that have been diagnosed in the Autisum spectrum.
Media contacts requiring additional information about Marklund, caring for those with developmental disabilities, and other related issues, are encouraged to contact the Marklund's Marketing and Communications Department. Interview requests should also be directed to the marketing and communications staff.
